Cooking sessions at Petits Chefs Academy are a great opportunity to sharpen life-skills and stir-up creativity! Join us each session as we explore a veritable smorgasbord of dishes.
Not only will we be cooking, we will be plunging into knowledge from the basic cognitive subject areas. In truth, any recipe prepared at Petits Chefs Academy is a chance to explore many topics of study in a fun and interactive setting. Our highly qualified staff of certified Chefs, Nutritionists and ECE’s are on hand to make each cooking class a memorable experience for the students. Parents will be surprised to watch as their ‘petits chefs’ grow with confidence and knowledge as they create these recipes at home for you!
Each unique session is designed to familiarize children and youth with diverse foods, while they experience what it feels like to create and taste scrumptious recipes themselves! Building self-confidence, creativity and a life-long skill are important ingredients to the programs.
Our 9 week program provides those who attend an overall food and nutrition background. Once your child has finished this program, they’ll be;
- Willing to help at home
- Take initiative to find and create recipes
- Less of a picky eater
- More confident in their decisions
- Leaders within their groups at school and in the future
- More aware of their surroundings and why food is important
- Familiar with smells and new taste in order for them to grow and try new things
- Aware of their mannerisms, and focus on their priorities within a recipe and overall life
These courses are designed to help petits, moyen and grande chefs explore cuisines while building upon life skills.
All food, materials and clean up is included in all of our cooking classes.
A snack size portion served and recipes can be changed based on product/ingredient availability.
We source local, fresh and seasonal products/ingredients as often as available.
